ALFIE Evans’ amazing Mum, Kate James posted a series of heartbreaking photos and videos on the official Alfie’s Army Facebook group showing her stroking little Alfie’s face.
The heartbreaking clip was filmed following the Evans’ family receiving another defeat in the courts at the hands of NHS doctors and Establishment judges.
The little tots hero Dad, Tom Evans who has been fighting in the courts despite his son’s illness was seen sleeping next to him in another post, on a sofa showing the harsh reality of this heartbreaking situation.
Family friend Kayleigh Rebecca posted the snap and wrote: “Two strong boys with such an inspirational woman by their side.. Alfie’s beautiful mummy!
Alfie is doing good, he is fighting.”
Tom was due to give a statement on the Appeal, but a family spokesman said: “He has fallen asleep next to his little boy. Both of them have fallen asleep together and we have left them alone.
“Tom will be coming out in the morning to give a statement at 7am. Don’t believe what you read on social media, Alfie is doing great.”
He posted online earlier: “No sleep for three days nothing but torture and deprivation 😥😥😡😡 boy continues to fight with no suffering or indication of pain🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 coming up to 2 DAYS NOW PLEASE SAVR OUR SON YOUR LORDSHIPS🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻”
Doctors say the 21-month-old has a “relentless and progressive” neurological condition which destroyed part of his brain, leaving Alfie unable to breathe and swallow on his own.
Alfie’s father Tom Evans, 21 has been given Italian citizenship to go to Italy for treatment and the Pope has backed Tom’s request.
But the British Courts have denied the families wishes and are keeping Alfie at Alder Hey.
On Tuesday, Tom said that his son was ready to go to Italy for treatment, and said an air ambulance was on standby.
“We want to go to Italy. Everyone’s ready, Alfie’s ready,” he said.
NHS doctors turned off the child’s life support against the wishes of the Pope and his parent’s with doctors claiming there was nothing more that could be done to save little Alfie.
Remarkably, Alfie has been breathing without assistance for more than 48 hours, with many questioning NHS doctors.
Speaking outside Alder Hey in Liverpool on Tuesday Alfie’s father, Tom revealed that “We are were doing what a nurse should have been doing to sustain his life.
Tom claimed that the Hospital was starving his son, and revealed it took him SIX hours to fight for fluid and oxygen for little Alfie.
He added he and Alfie’s mum had to give him mouth to mouth at one point because the doctors refused to give the tot oxygen.
Crowds have been growing outside Alder Hey, with many calling for Alfie to be freed.
