MILLIONAIRE Football presenter Gary Lineker attacked British fishermen and Nigel Farage on Twitter following a “Fishy Protest” by the former UKIP leader.
Lineker mocked British fishermen being abandoned by the Government and tweeted: “Rarely have 2 such slimey, smelly, slippery creatures held on to some fish.”

Farage replied: “Gary thinks it’s funny that an entire British industry has been devastated. He is in the same category as Bob Geldof.”

Mr Farage was raising awareness to what happens every day in British fishing waters. Too many fish are caught by foreign fishermen, resulting in dead fish being thrown back into the sea to rot on the seabed.
Lineker, clearly dislikes the idea of the UK fishing industry booming once again and attacked Farage for defending British fishermen, who for years have been at the peril of the European Unions Common Fisheries Policy.
