MRS MAY LIVES TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY: Scorned Shapps bid to OUST Theresa May falls apart within hours

SCORNED MP Grant Shapps could give Dr Foster a run for her money, after his ‘revenge’ attempt to bring down Mrs May in a political ‘Coup d’état’ failed and fell apart within HOURS.

The Pro-Remain MP’s attempt to delete the Maybot was called a ‘Plot’ by Remainers to disrupt Brexit.

According to reports, Anna Soubry, Ed Vaizey and Shapps were the only people on Shapps so-called list of 30 ministers.

HE HAD 3 OF THE 48 NAMES NEEDED TO OUST MAY

If Mr Shapps claimed to have the names of 30 MPs but it has now been revealed he probably only had THREE.

If he had anything close to 48, he would have gone to the all-powerful 1922 committee to roll the dice on a leadership election, instead, it seems his plan was ‘leaked’ to the press by government whips in the hope of destroying the coup.

MP turned reality star Nadine Dorries said ““If Grant Shapps has got 30 people signing his petition then Diane Abbott must be doing the adding up.”

After a week in which the whole country laughed at her after a disastrous conference speech, Mrs May had the last laugh and responded to Shapps bid to oust her with strong and stable words.

“What the country needs is calm leadership, that is exactly what I am providing, with the full support of my Cabinet.” She said.

So it seems Mrs May will live to fight another day, it’s time to put up or shut up.
