AMSTER-DAMNED: Dutch Lockdown Protests Hit Dam as Riot Police Break Up Rally

RIOT Police cleared out a demonstration by anti-lockdown protesters in Amsterdam’s Museumplein park on Sunday.

There was no repeat of the violence that took place in the previous two weekends of protest. “We stopped the whole economy with way worse consequences than the virus itself.

“Indirectly, we’re gonna see way more damage from this whole lockdown, than the few people who are 70 plus, 80 plus, with underlying health conditions,” stated one protester.

The demonstration, which was the third consecutive Sunday anti-lockdown protest, was attended by approximately 600 people.

The police broke up the protest after they had arrested 30 people earlier in the afternoon at the nearby Valeriusplein.

“I’m doing this for myself and for the people of the world. I think we should just be able to peacefully drink coffee and get together,” said a demonstrator.

In Apeldoorn, a similarly themed demonstration attended by hundreds more ended peacefully when police ordered all attendees to go home.
