BLACK LIVES MATTER

BRISTOL VIOLENCE: Brave Police Officer Hospitalised After CLASHES with Angry BLM Crowds

TWO people, including a copper were hospitalised following a violent fight in Bristol on Saturday.

Police were called to the scene at approximately 7:40 PM after receiving calls about a disturbance involving several people at the corner of Winkworth Place and Argyle Road, according to a report by the Bristol Post.

Then the officers were aggressively confronted by the crowd. They were eventually forced to call for reinforcements to regain control of the situation.

In a video that was released showing part of the incident, officers can be seen surrounded by a group of black people who are angrily shouting at them while they are handcuffing and taking a black man into custody.

Bystanders can be heard yelling phrases like “Don’t kill him” and “Trying to kill another one,” an apparent reference to the recent incident in the United States where a black suspect died while being taken into custody by police officers, which has led to days of rioting and looting across the country.

One police officer was injured and had to be taken to a hospital for facial injuries. Another man was injured in the head before officers arrived; he was also hospitalised. Reports say that police confiscated a baseball bat at the scene.

According to police reports, a man in his 30s was placed under arrest on suspicion of assault with intent to cause bodily harm and for assaulting an emergency worker — presumably the man seen being handcuffed in the video. He is still in police custody.
