FORMER British Army lads stood up to race rioters in London today and defended the statue of Winston Churchill after Black Lives Matters protesters defaced the iconic landmark on Saturday.
Patriotic Met Police also refused orders to initially remove those defending the statue, and escorted and gave the lads a lift back to their cars.
One man involved, who did not wish to be named due to leftist attacks told Politicalite: ” Today a few of us have been in London, the graffiti at the war memorials for our heroes is everywhere.”
“I’ve been called a facist, a racist, a Nazi, had food thrown at me, been spat at. I’ve been told black lives are more superior than any other. All because we stood with a couple of ex army boys, at the winston Churchill memorial.”
“We had thousands of BLM supporters abusing us, even though we all support their cause. The only thing we are against is the defacing of the statues for our countries heroes.”
“The police who were told to withdraw us, stood alongside us and refused to move. And even gave us a lift back to the car!”
“As soon as we left, the statue has since been graffitied.”
“A lot of the BLM supporters actually spoke to us and said fair play and shook our hands.”
” It’s a shame some are mindless idiots. On a weekend that means a lot to myself and others. They should learn some respect for our heritage.”
Yesterday, Black Lives Matter protesters defaced and attacked the statue of Abraham Lincoln – the former U.S. President who ended slavery in America and took a bullet for it.
President Abraham Lincoln abolished slavery in America in 1863 in his Emancipation Proclamation that freed black slaves during the American Civil War.
Lincoln was assassinated at a theatre that many historians believe was a direct response to restore the unrecognised ‘confederate’ republic in the south.
The protesters also de-faced a British icon in Westminster – the statue of Winston Churchill who helped defeat fascism and Nazi Germany along with America.
On Saturday protesters attacked Met Police officers and even threw a Bike at a Police horses in a shocking display of animal abuse.
Police took a tougher line on the protesters following chaos earlier in the week in which BLM protesters attacked Downing Street and punched a Police officer.
