A MAN armed with a sawn-off shotgun has taken two staff members hostage at a bowling alley in a Nuneaton according to reports.
Police are on the scene at the Bermuda retail park in Nuneaton and placed the cinema and children’s play area on lockdown, trapping hundreds of terrified families inside.
According to reports, witnesses have described the terrifying moment the gunman stormed MFA Bowl and screamed at customers to “get the f*** out”.
An eyewitness told the Coventry Telegraph he was with his two sons, aged seven and three when he came out of the changing room to find the bowling alley empty apart from the gunman.
He claimed the ranting man told him and his kids to “get the f*** out”.
Another man said he was enjoying a family party at the bowling alley when he saw the gunman stalking towards him with a shotgun slung over his shoulder.
He told Sky News: “One of the staff came up to us, whispered in my ear to leave.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance said there are no casualties and Police have said the ongoing incident is not connected to “any terrorist activity”.
