A TORY MP has officially revealed he has submitted a letter of a no-confidence vote in Theresa May
Philip Davies, MP for Shipley, Yorks sent the letter to the backbench 1922 Committee, saying he has “lost trust” in her ability to deliver the EU referendum result.”
He told the Yorkshire Post her Soft Brexit plan is “unacceptable” and failure to deliver Brexit could end with Jeremy Corbyn as prime minister.
“This has not been an easy decision and I have agonised over it, but I know in my heart of hearts it is the right decision,” Mr Davies said.
Politicalite was told last week that the 1922 committee had already received 48 letters.
The Government tried to send MPs on an ‘early holiday’ to avoid a Leadership challenge earlier this week but failed in thier bid.
