COOPER AMENDMENT: May ‘Wants Parliament To Scupper No Deal’ MP Claims

Yyvette Cooper, the Labour MP behind an amendment which would scupper a clean Brexit, has claimed the Prime Minister “wants” Parliament to stop WTO exit.

She said:

“My sense is that there are senior ministers, including Cabinet ministers, and I suspect even the Prime Minister herself, who want Parliament to do this.”

It has been revealed today  that the vote on January 29th wont be on the deal itself but a government motion. Both the amendments tabled by Mrs Cooper and Dominic Grieve which would scupper Brexit however will be continued to be voted on Parliament.

Cynical minds may see this as open invitation by the government to both Cooper and Grieve to pass their amendments without further reputational damage being done to the government by it suffering another humiliating defeat.

The Great Brexit Betrayal is clearly in motion as Parliament seeks to usurp the will of the British people who voted to leave the EU.
