A LABOUR MP has claimed that MPs now have a ‘duty’ to stop ‘dodgy’ Brexit after Vote Leave was fined £61k and referred to the Police for breaking electoral law after they overspent during the EU Referendum in 2016.
Tottenham MP David Lammy tweeted: “It’s official, the Leave campaign broke the electoral law. The narrow referendum result looks dodgier than ever.”
He then arrogantly claimed that “Politicians from all parties now have a duty to ask: do we want to continue with a policy that will wreck our economy and consume government for the next decade, based on this dubious result?”
Mr Lammy is so out of touch with working-class Labour voters, its laughable, most Labour strongholds overwhelmingly voted to Leave the EU, and now this Labour muppet wants to keep us in.
It’s not the first time Lammy has called for Britain to ignore the will of 17.4m people.
After the Brexit Result in 2016 was revealed he said: “Wake up. We do not have to do this. We can stop this madness through a vote in Parliament.”
Nigel Farage hit out at Lammy at the time and said: “Labour MP David Lammy demands MPs ignore the referendum result. I’m sure that will drive more Labour voters to UKIP.”
