POSTURE OF SUPPLICATION: Downing Street ‘Regularly’ Overruled Ex Brexit Secretary As It Rolled Over For Brussels

Giving testimony to the Exiting The European Union Select Committee, both David Davis MP, the ex Brexit Secretary and Steve Baker MP, a former Minister under David Davis gave some extraordinary testimony.

Baker told the committee that during his time in government the atmosphere was of constant “reluctance to Leave”. He went onto say that the government “cannot face up to enthusiastically delivering the mandate that they have” to deliver Brexit. Furthermore, the entire approach to negotiations is underpinned by this “reluctance to deliver” Brexit.

Davis added that the end result is we have ended up with a “Remainers Brexit”. He went onto accuse the government of focusing on what they “think matters about Brexit” rather than what Britain voted for in the EU Referendum and what motivated people to do so.

These comments, straight from the proverbial horses mouth will only strengthen the suspicion amoung Brexiteers that they are about to be betrayed and the now widely hold view that the government is not on the side of the democratically expressed will of the British people.

We didnt ask for a deal. We was asked leave or stay. Leavers won. She said if there was a bad deal which she has that we would leave without a deal. If it doesn’t happen I can see trouble ahead
