Parliament is sitting for its last day before the Christmas break today. MP’s have been busy trying to scupper any hopes of a no deal Brexit by placing wrecking amendments.
Yvette Cooper has inserted an amendment to the Finance Bill due to be debated on January 8th making a Parliamentary vote on ‘No Deal’ a legal requirement:
The Government should rule out “no deal” as the risks to our economy & security are too great. If they won’t, then Parliament must find different ways to avoid “no deal” cliff edge instead – starting with this cross party amendment I’ve tabled to the Finance Bill for Jan 8th pic.twitter.com/Rm3gs1jES2

The balance of forces within Parliament would virtually guarantee such a motion would never be passed thus the above amendment can reasonably be seen as aimed at wrecking the prospect of a No Deal Brexit.
Our elected representatives are failing to do their most basic job in representing the majority who voted for Brexit and are actively trying to subvert the will of the people.
