A WELSH MP WHO CLAIMED THAT HE WAS A BREXITEER WAS TORN TO PIECES ON LIVE TELEVISION YESTERDAY OUTSIDE PARLIAMENT.
DAVID Davies, a Welsh MP, was giving an interview to the BBC outside Parliament when a witty activist wearing a microphone decided to gatecrash the party.
The footage, shown on the BBC’s News website, shows the woman berating the MP for signing May’s treacherous deal, leaving him to eventually leave with egg on his chops.
“Are you a remoaner?” The woman who has been identified as Youtuber ‘Based Amy’ asks him, whilst using her mobile phone to film a Facebook Live video.
“No, I voted to leave, actually” the Welsh MP who represents Monmouth replied.
“Did you vote for Theresa May’s deal?” Amy pressed him further, telling that something was amiss. “Yes I did” Said Davies. “You voted for the deal? Oh my God” The activist laughed. “And have you read the deal?” “Yeah, I read the deal” the MP answered her sheepishly.
“And it means we don’t leave” Amy told him. “So you’re a liar. You did not vote to leave”.
Realizing that the BBC were capturing him being publicly embarrassed, Davies groaned “I tell you what, people like you make me want to join the EU again”.
“You see, I’ve read the withdrawal agreement unlike this man who’s an MP” the Youtuber pressed-on undeterred before asking him for his name, to which he refused.
“Well I’ll guess I’ll find out when I watch the lying BBC” she retorted, her voice echoing across Parliament square.
“So he voted for the deal and this guy’s pretending like he’s a leaver” she scoffed. “What a liar. You’re a liar. Shame on you. You’re a traitor.”
Telling her that he had previously served in the army, Amy quickly replied: “If you served the country then you should know about sovereignty and democracy”.
Theresa May’s deal has proven extremely unpopular with voters from both sides of the Brexit argument and is generally seen for what it is – a deal to remain in all but name.
