BARMY ARMY: New Army ad campaign features MUSLIM explaining how Army helps him practice faith

CRITICS have slammed new Amry recruitment ads which ditch “Be the Best” and promote “equality” and the “emotional support” given to troops.

The £1.6 million campaign features a series of radio, television and animated adverts, all voiced by serving soldiers, with questions being asked such as “What if I get emotional?” and “Can I be gay in the army?”.

One of the adverts shows a Muslim soldier explaining how the Army has helped him to continue to practice his faith.

The new adverts are part of the Army’s “belonging campaign” and makes laughing stock of Britain.

Retired Colonel Richard Kemp said the new £1.6m campaign would not solve the Army’s “recruiting crisis”.

Colonel Kemp – the former commander of British forces in Afghanistan, who served in the Army until 2006 – said while the adverts were aimed at a number of minority groups, they missed out the Army’s core recruitment pool.

“I think what the Army needs to do in order to deal with its recruiting problem is not to specifically appeal to minorities – of course, the more people from all parts of society who join the better.

“But it’s even more important than that to fill the Army up with people who want to fight and want to be soldiers. And this, I don’t think, will do that.”

Instead, he called for the Army to focus on retention problems and deal with its “impenetrable” application process and the “horrific bureaucracy” surrounding it.

Major General Timothy Cross, who retired in 2007, said the Army was “really struggling” with recruitment and should not be trying to be “jolly nice to people”

THE PC ARMY has engulfed our Armed Forces, soon the army will give the option of what side you want to fight on… no longer will our brave men and boys be rewarded for “Being the Best” but they will all get participation awards for being gender neutral gayboys. (I’m gay, I can say that)

The Army doesn’t need to change it elitism, that’s what makes soldiers GREAT!

We need our brave men and women to be brave, to be strong and to be the best! they don’t need to be told how to pray whilst shooting dead a member of the bloody Taliban.

When will this PC madness end? Enough is Enough!
