A MAN who was tasered by Greater Manchester Police in front of his screaming young son has been accused of being drunk whilst driving at speed.
A Greater Manchester Police source told Politicalite that the man in question was allegedly driving unsafely at high speeds across Chester Road in Stretford, when Police pursued the vehicle it failed to stop.

“When he finally stopped, the man was acting aggressively, was over the drink limit, had no insurance and had a young child in his car.” said a source.
The man was later named publicly as Desmond Ziggy Mombeyarara of Old Trafford and Police added that he was charged with the following offences.
· Two counts of resisting a constable in the execution of their duty
· One count of driving at excess speed
· One count of not having vehicle insurance
· Once count of being unfit to drive through drink
· One count of failing without reasonable excuse to co-operate
with a preliminary test
· One count of failing to stop when required to do so
· One count of unnecessary travel
He was remanded in custody to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court today Friday 8 May 2020.
During the arrest a taser was deployed by a Greater Manchester Police Officer.
Superintendent Mark Kenny, commented: “We are aware of public concern regarding this arrest and I want to reassure the public that this matter is being reviewed and treated seriously. In addition we have voluntarily referred this matter to the IOPC.”
“We appreciate that a number of people have contacted us with concerns about the child who was present at the time of this incident. We would like to reassure the public that officers on the evening made sure that the child was safe, and was taken to a close family member to be looked after, following consultation with the father.”
