JEZ SILENT ON IRAN GAYS: Corbyn embarrassed by his OWN frontbench MP after refusing to stand up for Iran’s LGBT community

JEREMY Corbyn was slammed by his own frontbench MP because he has refused to condemn Iran’s treatment of gay people.

Shadow Communities Secretary Andrew Gwynne said the Iranian regime was “abhorrent”.

Corbyn has remained silent as 21 people have been killed in protests against Tehran’s hardline Muslim leadership.

Andrew Gwynne said he would be “surprised” if Corbyn did not slam the treatment of gays in Iran.

He told BBC Radio 5 Live: “That is abhorrent, it runs against everything that the Labour party stands for.”

Gays in Iran even face the death penalty for having sex.

Stefan Schaden, an LGBT rights activist has previously said “While the Islamic State throws gays from rooftops, the Islamic Republic hangs them.”

” Iran’s regime forces homosexuals to flee the country and the world turns a blind eye. ”

US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has previously slammed the Iranian regime for its human rights violations.

The country’s clerical rulers executed a gay adolescent in July 2016 for engaging in homosexual acts.
