PRINCE Charles has become the newest prominent victim of the coronavirus outbreak.
This was confirmed by Clarence House, all the while he ‘remains in good health’ otherwise, with ‘mild symptoms’ of the virus.
He is currently self-isolating with the Duchess of Cornwall – Camilla Parker Bowles, who has tested negative for the virus, all the while other members of the royal family haven’t been infected as of yet.
The Clarence House statement is as follows: ‘the Prince of Wales has tested positive for coronavirus… he has been displaying mild symptoms but otherwise remains in good health and has been working from home throughout the last few days as usual… the tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing. It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks’.
So far, in the UK, there have been 8,277 cases of the coronavirus, with 433 deaths and 135 recoveries. This is in comparison to the worldwide figures, which are 440,318 cases, 19,752 deaths and 111,972 recoveries.
