DONALD Trump allies and donors have urged Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to stop New York taking away the former Presidents liberty.
Mr Trump announced on Saturday that he expects to be arrested on Tuesday and called on supporters to protest after a New York grand jury alleged a “hush money” scandal with the porn actress Stormy Daniels surrounding alleged sexual encounters with the former president.

Mr DeSantis – a fellow Republican who is also running for President, and seen as his main rival has now been urged to stop a New York grand jury from arresting Mr Trump tomorrow in what is widely seen as a Democratic plot to stop him running for President.

President Trump’s campaign said on Twitter: “They’re not coming after me. They’re coming after you. I’m just standing in their way, and I always will stand in their way!”
Jason Miller, a former senior advisor to Mr Trump said his team was “taking note” of Mr. DeSantis’s “radio silence” about his upcoming charges and possible arrest on Tuesday.
The Trump campaign’s “War Room” account posted on Sunday: “It has been over 24 hours and some people are still quiet. History will judge their silence.”
The U.S. mainstream media has also been quick to smear Mr Trump once again. Jack Posobiec – a right-wing commentator and U.S. television anchor slammed The New York Times, claiming on Twitter: “The NY Times Editorial Board Formally Calls for the Indictment of President Trump.”
He told Politicalite: “It’s not just his allies who are angry, his donors have been blowing me up all day.”

“This is about principle, not a person. This is about our country, not one man. The silence from the rest of the GOP field is deafening.” he added.
“The Obama campaign broke the law on millions in undisclosed donations, paid a massive fine, and it was never talked about again” he added on Twitter.
The Federal Election Commission once fined the Obama campaign for failing to disclose the sources of 1,300 large donations, which together accounted for nearly $1.9 million.
