CORRIE Star Charlie Lawson, better known as Irish hard-man Jim McDonald was embroiled in a ‘race storm’ following a tweet linked to the Liam Neeson backlash.
The tweet in question that was alleged to be from the Coronation Street actor, 59 appeared on a fake news website.

The tweet read: “I could murder a f**king Indian.’
The story appeared on a suspected fake news website and alleged that the Irish-born actor posted the Tweet after a hefty boozing session last night which ‘sent the internet into meltdown.’
Lawson has denied that he sent the tweets and said: “I have nothing to do with the tweet”.
To whom it may concern, I have nothing to do with the tweet purported to have come from me. I’m told it’s from The Dundonald Liberation Army.
