
COLEEN Nolan’s affair with Shane Richie led to the suicide of his former fiancee, Politicalite can exclusively reveal.
The former Nolan Sister turned Loose Women star, 57 started her relationship with the EastEnders actor in secret in 1987, whilst Richie was engaged to Dawn Rogers, who was a “shy girl” from Jersey, in the Channel Islands.

Lou Sharp, whose mother was best friends with Dawn, revealed to Politicalite: “Coleen came sniffing around and they started their relationship as an affair.”
“One that resulted in Dawn ending her life over the humiliation.”

Shane, 58 opened up about her death on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity in 2020.
The EastEnders actor, who plays Alfie Moon said he was left “devastated” after being told Dawn had taken her own life.

“It happened on Mother’s Day. She’d gone to her room and taken an overdose of pills and wine.”
“I was devastated. I couldn’t even imagine how her family felt.”
The Sun revealed that Shane was aged just 21 when he fell for Dawn after meeting her on a dance tour.
The pair got engaged in 1986 and moved in with Dawn’s parents in St Helier, Jersey.
Revealing the moment he broke the news to Dawn that he was ending their engagement, Shane said: “I told her everything that had happened. I said I was sorry and that I’d never intended it to happen.”
“I really hadn’t planned it, but you can’t help who you fall in love with. Dawn put a brave face on it and the next morning I drove her to the airport.”
“She gave me back her engagement ring and we said goodbye. I felt terrible that I’d hurt her.”
