BORIS Johnson’s dad Stanley Johnson has said that his Foreign Secretary son should head to the Australian jungle and declared: “Boris would dream of doing this.” at the National Television Awards.

“This would be ideal. He could get away from all the emails, get away from all the phone calls, just contemplate the trees. ” Stanley said.

Stars also paid tribute to the late entertainer Sir Bruce Forsyth at The National Television Awards last night.

The awards remembered the former presenter, singer, dancer and gameshow host as Ant and Dec took home the first prize in his memory for their Saturday Night Takeaway show.

Presenting the award, Sir Bruce’s widow Lady Wilnelia Forsyth said she was “proud and honoured that this special award is named after my darling Bruce”.

She added: “I know he would have loved it because show business was his life.”

Ant and Dec won big and Phillip and Holly will sure be hungover on Tomorrow’s This Morning.
