Gemma Collins, of The Only Way Is Essex fame was by all accounts starstruck when she bumped into Jeremy Corbyn at the Pride Of Britain awards. In a series of comments which can only be described as maximum cringe, she was quick to pledge to help the Labour leader by spreading the word about his manifesto and ‘making it easier to understand’. If she understands Crobyn’s Brexit policy or fantasy economics then she is clearly one step ahead of the rest of us.
She described meeting Comrade Corbyn as a “magical moment”. Chillingly for him, she added: “I’m not finished with Corbyn – he’s inspired me. He’s always saying let’s build a fairer Britain… let’s make a change. Do you know why I love Jeremy? He wants to end hospital car parking charges. I’m not being funny, but someone’s died – a member of your family – and you’ve gotta put three quid in the meter?”
Gerard Batten’s UKIP Interim Manifesto commits UKIP to scrap said car parking charges. One wonders if Mr Batten would get quite the same reception if they were to bump into Ms Collins….
