Bolton, a working-class industrial mill town with a population of 191,000 has seen a huge influx of migrants, creating a ‘housing crisis’ and Ant said “Immigrants get jobs straight away” and claimed they “live a better life than a family like his”.
“They get given everything when they come over”, said Ant, and he also urged the Government “To look after their own.” calling for Theresa May to build more houses for the homeless.
In the show, a 20-year-old who drives a £40k sports car moved in with working-class Dad, Anthony Goodall’s family – that survives on just £1,000 a month, highlighting the shocking split between rich and poor in Britain.
Alex, 20, lives with his parents in a mansion in Nunthorpe, near Middlesbrough, where he occupies the entire top floor – jokingly described as the ‘penthouse suite’ – complete with en-suite bedroom and a 55in TV.
His wardrobe alone is worth thousands of pounds. Canada Goose coats, worth up to £1,500 each, hang alongside £360 t-shirts and a £1,050 Louis Vuitton bag. His most valuable possession is his Rolex watch, which is estimated at £10,000.
Anthony on the other hand, and his girlfriend Jen live in a small terrace home in Bolton with their son Jackson and first met at a homeless hostel four years ago.
While Jen is a full-time mum to their little boy, hardworking Antony works 40 hours a week and is determined to provide for them.
He said: “I’d rather work than be on benefits cause I want to support my own family.”
Ant told us that right-wing Activist Tommy was ‘bang on’ and said he talks the truth about the state of Britain.
“We need more people like him”, says Anthony whilst slamming the local Labour-run council and Jeremy Corbyn who has ‘sold out’ Britain.
He said, “If he [Tommy] ran this country we wouldn’t be in this mess we are in now.”
Robinson, 36 recently revealed that he is planning on potentially running for office.
Tommy said he wants to stand for parliament either in Brussels, as an MEP, if Brexit fails, or in Westminster. “If anyone in this country wants to really rock the boat put me in there [Parliament] because I won’t lie and I won’t hold back!” , and he’s already connecting with ordinary voters like Anthony.
