SOUTH Wales Police has been accused of backing the Muslim Milkshake attack, after shocking evidence emerged of police ‘liking’ a tweet that said Milkshake 1, Tommy Robinson o’.
Robinson, as I am sure Politicalite readers are aware, had a milkshake thrown over him twice while on the campaign trail in his bid to become an MEP for the North West.
Of course, pictures of the incidents went viral and, as you can clearly see below, South Wales Police Swansea ‘Liked’ one of these on Twitter.
In an email to supporters, Mr Robinson said: “The lack of action from the police is encouraging violence. I completely discourage mischief and should be able to operate a political campaign without being provoked by organised agitators.”
However, Cheshire Police said they were taking one of the incidents “seriously”. Chief Inspector Simon Meegan of Cheshire Constabulary said: “We will not tolerate disorder… whatever the motivation.”
“We are aware there has been a lot of talk, videos and speculation about what happened on social media but we need to hear from people who were there at the time and witnessed what happened.
“In particular, we want to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and recorded any of the incidents on their mobile phone.”
