TICKLED Brits have taken to Twitter to poke fun at democracy-denying remoaner MP Anna Soubry today, after she released a tweet claiming that her party – which scraped a measly 2.8% share of the votes – did BETTER than The Brexit Party – which secured over 30%.
“Thank you to over 600,000 people who voted @ForChange_Now and our excellent candidates” the Change UK candidate wrote. “We have polled better than any genuinely new UK party.”
Twitter users were quick to respond, mocking Anna over the mistake and blaming it on either typical remainer disillusion or plain and simple bad maths.
Pro-Remain protest party Change UK, spearheaded by Soubry, were humiliated at the ballot box last night, receiving the second from lowest vote share, beating only the group made up of independents.
In a clear sign that the people of Britain remain as determined as ever to leave the European Union, the election is being considered by some as a ‘People’s vote’ similar to what desperate europhiles have been campaigning for; although, as the true results show, it wasn’t the cry-baby people’s vote that the likes of Anna were hoping for.
