A DISGRACED former Labour Mayor and Councillor ousted by the Tories in last weeks local elections – works for Warrington North MP Charlotte Nichols – who allegedly broke electoral law, sources have told Politicalite.
Ex-Councillor Leigh Drennan lost his Tameside seat in the local elections after being pictured drinking and enjoying cigars with a Labour Lord allegedly linked to BBC paedo Stuart Hall.
Drennan was even praised by the Warrington North MP on social media and the personal exchanges suggested a very close friendship.
Nichols – who tried to gag the press over alleged electoral law breaches, wrote on Twitter: “I can’t count the number of fun times we’ve had together over our years of friendship and look forward to many more of them in the future as we come out of the pandemic.”
The revelation follows Labour Leader Sir Keir Starmer threatening to take legal action against both Politicalite and another British news outlet, Vote Watch during the local election campaign, to silence electoral fraud claims and Drennan’s links to Lord Pendry.
Yesterday we revealed that Labour’s legal team sent a letter to Vote Watch – founded by Jay Beecher – who exposed a Labour MP who allegedly broke electoral laws.
In an astonishing mirror of threats to Politicalite, Labour bigwigs told VoteWatch and Mr Beecher: “We are writing to you in connection with an article you published on 3rd May 2021 titled ‘Labour MP proven to have broken electoral laws – Police seek to prosecute but blocked by Judge’.”
“It has come to the Labour Party’s attention that the article makes claims against one of our elected representatives that are categorically false and, in our view, amount to defamation.”
“The article states a series of false claims including that ‘A Labour MP has been caught lying on her nomination papers’ and ‘The truth, however, is that MP Charlotte Nichols didn’t live in Warrington at all, but at the time had only stayed in the area on a temporary basis whilst campaigning.”
“In fact, MP, Nichols recorded elsewhere that at the time of her nomination papers being completed, and even during her campaign, she still lived in her 2 bed flat 180 miles away in Islington, London.”
“We should also take this opportunity to remind you that it is a criminal offence pursuant to s. 106 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 to make false statements regarding the conduct or character of a candidate during an election campaign.”
“For the reasons above, we would request that you immediately remove the article from your website and any associated posts on social media. Failure to do so will result in a complaint being made to the police and possible legal action.”
Vote Watch Editor Jay Beecher hit back at Labour telling Politicalite: “As a journalist exposing the relentless barrage of Labour corruption and sleaze that daily poisons British politics and society, it’s quite common to come under attack from the left.”

“They try to silence you. They try to scare you. With vague legal letters, doxxing, and even death threats. But all it demonstrates is that you’re on the right track.”
“Labour are doing their best now to divert the narrative onto a PM buying some curtains in a flat he doesn’t own, with the use of no taxpayer cash, and with no impact on the general public.”
“Meanwhile, the mainstream media refuse to report on real corruption, real criminal activity, and real sleaze – because, inconveniently for them, it isn’t coming from the Tories, but from Labour. But VoteWatch is challenging that – exposing their crooked ways and forcing it into the public eye.”
“As we’ve seen, the Labour Party are beginning to panic. Keir Starmer’s rabble have received the kick in the ballots that they deserve during this election. But hopefully, in the case of MP Charlotte Nichols, they’ll soon be getting a good kicking in court”.
LABOUR’S DOUBLE WHAMMY
The letter followed similar threats to Politicalite after we exclusively revealed that two of Labour’s candidates in the local elections were pictured with a man who is accused of having links to renowned BBC perv Stuart Hall.
Predictably, Mr Starmer – who has a history of defending BBC pervs (see below) – hit back and threatened to sue Politicalite and report us to the Police; unless we removed the article from our website and from social media.
“The article makes claims against two Labour Party candidates that are categorically false and, in our view, are defamatory.” said the parties legal office.
Labour also threatened to report us to the Police: “We should also take this opportunity to remind you that it is a criminal offence pursuant to s. 106 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 to make false statements regarding the conduct or character of a candidate during an election campaign.” said the letter.
“For the reasons above, we would request that you immediately remove the article from your website and any associated posts on social media. Failure to do so will result in a complaint being made to the police and possible legal action.”
LABOUR’S LINKS TO BBC PERV
Ex-BBC Sport presenter Hall, a convicted paedophile was jailed for a string of sex attacks on young girls as young as 13, and sources told to Politicalite that the disgraced BBC presenter was a close ally and supporter of former Labour MP turned Lord, Tom Pendry.
One of the victims – Susan Melville – who decided to waive her anonymity – was just fifteen herself when she was groomed by Hall after presenting a prize to secondary school students at Longdendale High School.

When Stuart Hall later pleaded guilty to sexual offences in 2013, the Independent released an article called “How I Exposed Stuart Hall” by Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, it contained one interesting snippet: “She went to the studios [BBC] encouraged by her mum and head teacher. And went back again, and once more.”
“He seemed caring. Then, having groomed her, she alleges, he got her drunk and started the abuse. She kept going back.
His mates, including an MP who is now a Peer, she claims, helped Hall with his filthy hobby.”
The Independent’s article was later mysteriously removed and was reposted without the Lords name.
The copy online was changed too: “She went to the studios [BBC] encouraged by her mum and head teacher. And went back again, and once more. He seemed caring. Then, having groomed her, she alleges, he got her drunk and started the abuse. She kept going back. His mates, she claims, helped Hall with his filthy hobby.”
Hall backed Labour Lord Pendry when he stood for the parliamentary seat of Stalybridge and Hyde election in 1979.

Labour’s Hyde Werneth candidate for the 2021 Elections was pictured with Pendry drinking in the Lords home in unearthed pics leaked to Politicalite.
Pendry was also pictured with another local Labour lad, Cllr Leigh Drennan – candidate for Ashton Hurst.
Labour’s official Governance and Legal Unit sent a letter denying the claims – but they omitted to mention Lord Pendry by name in the letter, a clear sign that Politicalite and our sources are telling the truth.
Legal boffins told Politicalite that Labour’s legal letter was a “thinly veiled attempt to silence the free press and scare us into removing the claims before the elections on May 6th.”
