Anne Marie Waters has responded to the ongoing Facebook purges by warning it is a symptom of “Islamic dominance” when it comes to dictating to Big Tech social media companies who can and cant use their platforms. Raheem Kassam also warned that the West is being pushed towards “totalitarian impulses” by self-appointed and “censorious” ‘community activists’.
Both were making their comments following Mohammad Shafiq, a close confidant of Facebook’s Head of Global Communications, claiming responsibility for the purges.
Anne Marie Waters, said that the time has now come to regulate Big Tech social media giants such as Facebook to ensure fairness and a lack of bias as well as protect freedom of speech:

Subsequently, a worker for the BBC has also claimed responsibility for the take-downs, however, it is worth noting that they lack Shafiqs closely proven links to Clegg.
Purges of Tommy Robinson supporters are continuing with incidents of bans of varying lengths being issued for sharing pro-Tommy content or the Panodrama documentary.
