MORRISSEY has slammed the British Tory Government and has said that the treatment of jailed right-wing activist Tommy Robinson as “shocking.”
Moz said thy the treatment of Tommy Robinson by the UK criminal justice system infringes on free speech.
He said his jailing for allegedly breaking ‘contempt laws’ by filming on a British Street was an example of how Britain’s biggest political parties are against freedom of expression.
“It’s very obvious that Labour or the Tories do not believe in free speech.”
“I mean, look at the shocking treatment of Tommy Robinson.”
The #FreeTommy movement supported the former Smiths frontman.
One twitter user said: “He is right the treatment of Tommy Robinson is shocking, he is showing concern that the UK is becoming an authoritarian hell hole.”
Last month Morrissey won a legion of right-wing fans after he said that Halal was ‘evil.’
“If you have any concern for animal welfare, for example, you cannot possibly vote for either Conservatives or Labour, because both parties support halal slaughter, which, as we all know, is evil.” He told Morrissey Online.
