ANOTHER weekend, another bloodbath in London. In Peckham, south London, just before 8 p.m. on Saturday, armed officers and a police helicopter were scrambled to the scene of a double shooting. Two men – 22 and 25-years-old – with gunshot wounds were left in a critical condition.
On Friday, there was a “machine gun” attack in North London, as reported by Breitbart London, and police were called to multiple knife attacks, including one in Shadwell which is now being treated as an attempted murder. In addition, there were further attacks in nearby Southwark. A man believed to be 30 was found around 3.30 a.m. with stab injuries and taken to a hospital, and in Rotherhithe, a man and woman suffered slash injuries at 11. 30 a.m.
So, you would think this would be the focus of Mayor Khan’s undivided attention, wouldn’t you? Wrong. Khan was too busy bashing Brexit, urging MP’s in the Commons to adopt all the amendments made in the House Of Lords. He called upon MP’s to “set aside their differences” and support the Peers wrecking amendments.
Arguing that the upcoming vote was the “most important since the Iraq War”, Mayor Khan told The Guardian:
“Parliament has the opportunity to reject the Tories’ shambolic and reckless handling of Brexit and preserve our prosperity for the next generation – if MPs are brave. ”
Is it not simply disgusting that while London is left bleeding with its citizens cowering and afraid that Mayor Khan’s top priority is subverting the democratically expressed wishes of the British people? What clearer indication could he give that he is simply not up to the job of keeping people safe and fulfilling his first duty as Mayor than this? And finally, is it not time, for the good of London that Mayor Khan stepped down and let someone who can properly discharge their responsibilities to the citizens of London take up the Mayorship?
