WHERE’S WALLY? Corbyn fails to respond to NHS crisis… because he’s too busy on holiday in MEXICO

JEREMY CORBYN is facing criticism this week after it was revealed the hard-left Labour leader is STILL on holiday in Mexico – despite a crisis in the NHS and a full programme of government business.

The Labour leader has attacked Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt for going missing, while he has been more than 5,000 miles away over Christmas and New Year.

The number of people forced to wait long periods in ambulances rose dramatically during the Christmas period, whilst Britain’s hospitals were dangerously full.

NHS figures show 16,893 patients waited more than 30 minutes in ambulances at A&E departments in the week before New Year’s Eve.

That’s a rise on the 11,900 which endured half hour handover waits the week previously. Those stuck for more than an hour almost doubled, shooting up by 95 percent to 4,700 compared to 2,400 the week before.

In the same week before the year’s end, bed occupancy was at 91.7 percent, the same figures also reveal, well over the 85 percent level considered safe

Twenty-two NHS trusts hit bed occupancy of 100 per cent during the final week of December for periods of up to five days.

Yesterday Mr Corbyn  issued a message on Twitter saying: ‘It is not good enough for Theresa May to say NHS problems are ‘frustrating’ and ‘disappointing’ when the Tory Government has caused this crisis.

Most politicians returned to Westminster this week and the winter crisis in the NHS has been dominating the headlines.

Labour’s Shadow Cabinet has been busy in the TV studios and Theresa May has visited hospitals.

Jeremy Corbyn flew to Mexico 11 DAYS AGO and Yesterday, Mexican academic Irma Sandoval tweeted about meeting the far-left leader in the South American country.

Labour declined to say when he might return to work, although sources last night suggested he was no longer in the North American country.

Tory MP Andrew Bridgen said Mr Corbyn had no right to criticise hardworking ministers while he was enjoying a break in the sun.

Mr Corbyn appeared keen to keep details of his holiday secret, with aides ordered to give no details of his whereabouts.
