PARLIAMENT will debate ‘banning returning ISIS members from the UK’ after more than half a million signed an online petition.
The petition went viral after ISIS bride Shamima Begum begged the UK to take her back, despite showing no remorse for joining ISIS and claiming the Manchester Arena terror attack was ‘justified’.
Begum, now 19 had her citizenship revoked by Home Secretary Sajid Javid.
Stephen Kent, who started the viral campaign on the Gov.UK website said: “By banning all returning ISIS members and by removing their citizenship and passports it would help keep the UK safe from terrorists and their actions.”
“It would also save hundreds of thousands of pounds and time of the police and security services. It would also send a message to others that membership of terrorist organisation will not be tolerated.”
Parliament said that the debate was scheduled for 18 March 2019.
