A LABOUR Mayor who trolled Boris Johnson claiming the poorly Prime Minister “deserved Coronavirus” has been fired.
Shelia Oaks, a Labour Mayor said that Boris Johnson “Deserved Coronavirus”, whilst UCL Data Analyst wished the PM a “painful death.”
Oakes, who is the Mayor for Heanor in Derbyshire said that she “didn’t expect” to upset so many people an angry backlash forced her into a public apology.
Now a lawfirm the troll worked for has given her the marching orders.
VHS Fletchers Solicitors sacked her with immediate effect and said: “As you may be aware, on Monday evening Sheila Oakes, a paralegal at our Ilkeston office and also Mayor of Heanor posted deeply offensive remarks relating to the Prime Minister’s current state of health on Facebook.
“These posts were made in a personal capacity, but it was clear from her Facebook bio that she was an employee of this firm, and as a result we became embroiled in understandable and legitimate criticism of what she had said.
“We can confirm that as of now Ms Oakes is no longer employed by this firm in any capacity”.
UCL: WE’VE TAKEN ACTION
UNIVERSITY College London has also taken action against a Data Analyst who hoped Boris would die a painful death.
Aaron Castro who works for the top London uni tweeted the vile remark before deleting his account.
UCL told Politicalite: “UCL condemns this inappropriate tweet which was made by one individual and does not reflect the views of the university in any way.”
“The tweet has now been deleted. We have spoken to the individual concerned and will take appropriate action as necessary.”
