The defamation case brought by Stephanie Clifford a.k.a adult film star Stormy Daniels has been dramatically tossed out of a US court. Daniels alleged she had a affair with Trump in 2006.
Trump responded to her assertion that she had been threatened for making her claim public by dismissing it as a “total con job”. Daniels argued this was defamatory.
However, the judge in the case ruled that Trump’s tweeted comments are protected under the First Amendment of the US Constitution which safeguards the right to free speech. Furthermore, Daniels was ordefed to pay the legal costs incurred by the President.
Judge S. James Otero ruled that Trumps tweet constituted “rhetorical hypobole” deployed against a political adversary and that the First Amendment does protect this kind of speech.
Cue floods of liberal/Democrat tears:
Stormy Daniels has to pay all of Trump’s legal fees.
All of the “resistance” people who donated to her GoFundMe is now literally paying Trump
I’m crying with laughter 😂😂😂

However, Daniels still has one outstanding lawsuit against the President and her lawyer, who has been actively supporting opposition movements to Trump Presidency, Michael Avenatti, vowed to appeal against the decision.
