SO-CLASSED Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the Streatham terror attack that hit London yesterday.
The group issued a generically-worded statement on its official propaganda channels on Tuesday morning saying the stabbing was carried out by an Isis “soldier”.
Attacker had been released weeks earlier
Police revealed that the suspect was 20-year-old Sudesh Amman who had been jailed for Islamist extremism.
It is understood that Amman, who was jailed for possessing and distributing terrorist documents in December 2018, had been freed in the past six weeks.
ISIS said he was responding to calls for attacks on citizens of countries bombing Isis in Syria and Iraq.
