TWO Brit tourists have been attacked in a ‘knife attack’ in Paris last night.
They were among a total of seven people stabbed during an attack in downtown Paris, according to local media.
Sky News reported that Police have arrested a man in connection with the incident, which happened on the banks of a popular canal in the northeastern district of Quai de la Loire at just after 11 pm last night.
The suspect was said to have been wielding a blade and an iron bar when he targeted people, with four of the victims suffering “severe wounds” and all seven taken to hospital for treatment.
“Nothing at this stage shows signs of a terrorist nature in these assaults,” sources told AFP.
The attacker reportedly attacked “strangers in the street”.
This is a developing story.
