BREAKING: Trump adds UK and Ireland to Coronavirus Travel Ban 

PRESIDENT Trump has added the UK and Ireland to the EU-US Coronavirus Travel Ban following a sharp rise in cases in the UK. 

The President said the UK’s “numbers have gone up fairly precipitously over the last 24 hours.”

The ban will come into effect at midnight tonight.

UK VIRUS CASES RISE

MORE patients have died in England after testing positive for Covid-19, bringing the coronavirus death toll to 21.

A number of the patients, who were over 60, had underlying health conditions, NHS England said.

The 10 patients were being cared for in Buckinghamshire, Sandwell & West Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Leicester, Barts, London, north Middlesex and Chester.

There have been 1,140 positive tests for coronavirus in the UK as of 9am on Saturday, up from 798 at the same time on Friday, the Department of Health and Social Care said.

Professor Chris Whitty, chief medical officer for England, said: “I am sorry to confirm 10 further patients who have tested positive for Covid-19 in England have died.

“All 10 individuals were in the at risk groups. I understand this increase in the number of deaths linked to Covid-19 will be a cause for concern for many.

“The public should know every measure we are taking is seeking to save lives and protect the most vulnerable.

“Every single one of us has a role to play in achieving this. If you have a new continuous cough or high temperature, please stay at home for seven days.

UK ‘LOCKDOWN’

 

BRITIAN will go into lockdown next week to curb the spread of the deadly killer bug Coronavirus that is sweeping Britain. 

So far 790 people have been infected in the UK, including the worlds youngest victim – a newborn baby. 

A high level Tory source told Politicalite that the UK will be going into a ‘partial lockdown’ to help the NHS ease pressure over Coronavirus. 

“Boris decided on the move after major sporting cancellations and after Trump announced the UK could soon be added to the list of countries banned.”

“He decided to put the British people’s health before the economy and urges Business move to working from Home.” 

Boris is working with the the Government’s top medical officer on plans to “stop various types of public event”.

“It would ease the pressure on ambulances and the police.”

More information on the ban will be released next week.

YOUNGEST VICTIM 

A BABY has caught the deadly Coronavirus in a London hospital.

The Sun revealed that the tots mum had been rushed to a London hospital days earlier.

The mum thought she had phenomena but it has now been confirmed that the disease she had was COVID-19 which she passed to her child. 

The mum was treated at North Middlesex Hospital and her result only became clear after the birth.

The baby was tested within minutes of arrival.

KILLER BUG

On Thursday, Sir Patrick Vallance, the Government’s chief scientific adviser, said the actual number of people infected in the UK at the moment could be between 5,000 and 10,000.

Today the official line rose to 790 up 200 from Thursday – meaning the virus is showing no signs of slowing down as it was revealed that Europe was now the epicentre of the virus with more daily cases than China in its Coronavirus peak.

The deadly virus has infected a record 790 people in the UK – a 35% increase with that figure expected to rise to well above 1,000 by Monday. 

The UK is also experiencing a ‘self lockdown’ with towns and cities deserted and people choosing to work from home. 

Major sports were also cancelled with Football, Cricket, Rugby and the London Marathon being cancelled over the killer bug. 

STAR TECH 

BORIS Johnson held crisis talks with big tech in the UK with the likes likes of Uber, Deliveroo, Google, DeepMind, Amazon and Palantir announcing plans to help the NHS in its fight with the deadly virus that is expected to take hold in the UK.

Uber will provide free taxi rides to medical staff in the NHS and Deliveroo has offered to keep medical officers fed. Amazon said it will offer its video conferencing tools and cloud computing tech to help the NHS amid the virus outbreak.
