MACCIES is re-opening several stores from the 13th May and fans will be able to order favourites such as Big Macs, Cheeseburgers and Chicken Nuggets.
Fifteen stores across the UK will be accepting orders via Uber Eats for delivery.
In a statement, McDonald’s UK boss Paul Pomroy told Sky News the number one fast food outlet had conducted “controlled tests” in the past week.
Maccies will have perspex screens and floor markings in specific areas of the restaurants, while protective equipment, including non-medical grade face masks, would be given to employees.
Burger flippers will also be asked if they are fit to work and will have their temperatures taken before starting each shift.
Social distancing measures will also be employed on both McDonald’s staff and the company’s delivery partners, Mr Pomroy said.
There will be no breakfast menu, but the chain will be selling fan favourites.
