HALAL ROW: KFC Cocks Up Denial Over Halal Chicken

THE world’s second-largest fast-food chain has cocked up once again after it accidentally confirming that all its UK outlets serve chicken that has been slaughtered under barbaric, non-stun Islamic methods – despite its website officially stating that most of its stores in the UK aren’t Halal.

In October 2019, Politicalite reported on the fast-food giant after it made the shocking admission after a Twitter user asked the food chain’s customer service Twitter account to confirm or deny if all of their stores are serving Halal-only chicken.

Due to religious reasons, many Muslims only eat meat that has not been stunned – the animal must be completely alert whilst being slaughtered. This leads to immense suffering and horrific torture of animals – chickens included.

Responding to the article going viral again, the Colonel instructed its PR team on Twitter to respond to tweets – but they made a total contradiction.

KFC claimed Politicalite had the “memory of a goldfish” in a Tweet trying to distance itself from the claims.

The company said: “Back in October a Tweet from our Care Squad was posted in error stating thay all our UK restaurants were Halal. This tweet was incorrect and we were quick to rectify the mistake.

However, it seems the now deleted tweet is doing the rounds again, so we want to set the record straight, again.

We have approximately 960 restaurants, of which around 100 are Halal certified. These restaurants are clearly signposted both in restaurant and on our website. We offer halal chicken in restaurants where there is interest from our customers and where possible have ensured that a non-Halal alternative is nearby to satisfy all our fans.

To be crystal clear; ALL of our chickens are humanely stunned and we ensure that ALL our chicken meet the same rigorous safety standard. We will never compromise on this.

However, the statement was a total contradiction.

KFC claimed that ALL of its chickens were humanly stunned.

That isn’t possible under Halal and especially if they have 100 restaurants serving halal approved chicken.
