HIGH ALERT: Printworks in Manchester ‘Evacuated’ In Terror Scare

MANCHESTER was on high alert last night following a terror attack in the city centre – while some brave revellers attempted to ‘keep calm and carry on’ the Printworks complex was evacuated following a scare.

The MEN reported that the Printworks had been evacuated – and tensions were high on a day that the city had faced yet another terrorist atrocity at the hands of a suspected extremist.

Revellers took to social media and reported scenes of chaos and revealed they had been evacuated from the building as dozens of emergency service vehicles rushed to the scene.

The incident was reported a ‘false alarm’ and GMP claimed that a sprinkler was set off in toilets within the complex.

The police said, “An evacuation of the cinema at the Printworks that took place earlier tonight is due to a false activation of a sprinkler.”

“There is no cause for concern or reason to be alarmed.”

MANCHESTER is in a state of fear following yet another terror attack in the city centre.

A 40-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of terror offences after stabbing multiple people in a rampage in the cities Arndale Centre.

Multiple people were injured after the stabbing and Counter Terror Police are leading the investigation. Greater Manchester Police said the attacker “started lunging and attacking people”.

GMP Assistant Chief Constable Russ Jackson suggested that up to five people were injured in the “random” and “brutal” attack.

“The man attacked people around him,” he said.

“Although the injuries are nasty, we are told that, thankfully, none are life-threatening.”

“He was armed with a large knife and, as he entered Exchange Court, began lunging, attacking people with the knife.

“Two unarmed police community support officers were in Exchange Court and attempted to confront the attacker.

“He then chased them with the knife as they were calling for urgent assistance.”

Within five minutes armed officers detained the suspect on Market Street outside the centre, he added.

This picture below reveals that one of the stabbings occurred inside the Arndale. The attacker was apprehended outside.

Brave Police were seen running to the scene of one of the stabbings inside the Arndale centre – fire alarms were later sounded and the whole complex was evacuated.

One man in his 40s was later tasered and dragged from the floor by brave coppers. See the shock video below.

Videos on social media revealed large numbers of officers attending the Exchange Square side of the shopping centre reported the Manchester Evening News.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was “shocked by the incident in Manchester” and said his “thoughts are with the injured and all those affected.” He thanked the “excellent emergency services who responded and who are now investigating what happened.” More follows.

Emergency services initially said four people have been injured – this was later updated to three before the number was confirmed at five.
