LEVEL UP BIG BRO: Former Mr Wigan in bid for ITV2’s Big Brother

A LAD who once won the title of Mr Wigan is bidding for a spot inside ITV’s Big Brother house, Politicalite can exclusively reveal.

Connor Courtney otherwise known as ‘Mr Wigan’ is no stranger to telly and has previously appeared on ITV2’s Dress to Impress but moved on to amateur boxing to raise money for a Cancer charity in his local area.

Connor, 25 is now hoping he will impress ITV producers for a spot on the revival of Big Brother on ITV2 – launching in Autumn 2023.

Speaking exclusively to Politicalite today, Connor revealed: “I am repping life out of “little” Wigan as people refer to it.”

“I’m a plasterer by trade but love to box and play football with any spare time i get. I started boxing almost 10 months ago, originally doing a charity match to keep fit and raise money for cancer research.”

LOCAL HERO: Connor recently took part in a Charity boxing match for Cancer Research.

“I’d love to appear on the reboot of Big Brother, as it was one of the most iconic TV programmes when i was growing up what everybody including my family loved.” he added.

If he gets in, Mr Wigan could end up living with chart-topping rapper Stormzy, who is also keen to enter the civillian Big Brother house.

The ‘Hide and Seek’ hitmaker said last week he would love to be a contestant on the fly-on-the-wall show – which is getting rebooted by ITV2 – but wants to take part in the “civilian” version, not the celebrity competition.

Connor, who has over 11.2k followers on his @connorcourtney96 Instagram joked: “I mean imagine walking in that house and Stormzy of all people was there haha that would be f*cking NUTS.”

“But do you know what, i’d treat and speak to him like any other normal person and get to know the guy behind the superstar rapper mask, plus i think we would have some good vibes and actually get along.”

Stormzy thinks he would prove to be a very divisive figure in the house and would spark strong feelings in viewers.

He said: “I would want to go on ‘Big Brother’ – not the celebrity one but the civilian one and just be me. I’ve got this theory that I would either be really hated or really loved, no middle ground but I’d miss my dogs so bad though, forget my family I’d miss my dogs man.”

BIGGEST BRO EVER!
