SADIQ Khan, who is perhaps confused about which city he is supposed to be Mayor of, is in Brussels to meet with the EU’s Chief Negotiators, Michel Barnier, has told the Eurocrat to be prepared to delay Brexit to allow a second referendum.
He told Barnier that a delay would be in the “best interests of the UK”. Quite who put him in charge of the negotiating team is not clear as no one has yet to own up.
Puffing himself up like a lost peacock, he added: “London and Europe are inextricably linked. Europe’s biggest businesses are huge investors in the UK economy, they depend heavily on the UK market and rely enormously on the strength of the City.”
His comments come as Theresa May seems desperate to postpone any Cabinet meeting on Brexit until after next weeks Budget which she intends to be the centrepiece of a relaunched domestic agenda.
