The Remoaners campaign for a second vote has hit a brick wall.
Parliamentary support is so small that they were forced to cave-in and not submit a motion during last weeks crucial Brexit vote. The proposed cross-party amendment to Theresa May’s Brexit plan was ditched due to ‘limited support’.
However, they simply won’t back down.
Sounding more than a little desperate, Caroline Lucas MP said:
“We know it’s often people’s second-best choice, not their first choice, so people will only come to it when other alternatives have been exhausted.”
“We’re getting closer to the moment where what will be on the table is either no deal or a people’s vote, and at that point I think we’ll see a lot more people coming in.”
Lucas is of course totally wrong. Presented with a choice, people are turning towards a clean Brexit in their droves as poll after poll shows backing increase especially in working class Brexit heartlands. The Parliamentary petition calling for a Clean Brexit reached well over 300,000 signatures and eclipsed the one calling for a second referendum.
Once again, the Remoaners have totally misjudged the British people……..
