Tory MPs aren’t just failing to represent their constituents as they turn on Brexit but they are failing the members as the rash of deselection campaigns shows.
Grassroots Tories are aredently pro-Brexit and many support a clean Brexit. So, it should be no surprise that many are rising up in revolt.
The Chair of Sevenoakes Conservative Association has resigned and launched an astonishing broadside at local MP, Michael Fallon. Fallon backed the Cooper amendment which was passed as it reflected what is now Government policy.
Cllr Paulette Furse said Tory MPs have “lost their bottle”:
Agreed, Lee Rowley MP – MPs have lost their nerve. #Brexit was never about Parliament it has always been about everyday people. MPs, have lost sight of how to serve their constituents & instead of preparing to leave EU they are not prepared at all! #StandUp4Brexit @BrexitCentral pic.twitter.com/I7pgqNHPNw

Indeed they have and it is time for grassroots Tories to vote with their feet…..
