NOT WELCOME: U.S. Stops Afghani Refugee Flights Over Measles Outbreak

DOZENS of countries across the World have halted Afghan refugee flights due to outbreaks of Measles among Afghanis, as Britain continues to take them in.

The flights were halted by the United States and Germany last week after multiple cases were discovered in refugees who had arrived in the U.S. on commercial airlines.

The White House said the change in policy was backed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention after the virus outbreak.

“Operation Allies Welcome flights into the United States have been temporarily paused at the request of the CDC and out of an abundance of caution because of four diagnosed cases of measles among Afghans who recently arrived in the United States,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters.
