ANDY Murray threw serious shade at past it bandwagon rider Nigel Farage on Monday, mocking his faux support of tennis star Novak Djokovic who is in the middle of an immigration battle with Australian authorities.
The row between Australian Government and the Tennis star has been turned into a meme across social media.
Even Andy Murray got involved, but he mocked ‘Brexit hero’ Nigel Farage who jumped on yet another bandwagon.
The former UKIP and Brexit Party leader turned GB News shock-jock appeared in a video inside Novak’s trophy room inside his home on social networking website Twitter, but straight-talking Murray was not falling for it.
The Wimbledon winner joked: “Please record the awkward moment when you tell them you’ve spent most of your career campaigning to have people from Eastern Europe deported.”
One fan John Hilson replied: “This is undoubtedly the Tweet of the Year and we’re only 9 days in.”
Whilst one fan shared a meme of the late Caroline Aherne as Mrs Merton with the joke: “So, Mr Farage, what was it that got you interested in the plight of Multi-Millionaire Novak Djokovic?”
Whilst NewsThump wrote: “BREAKING! Man who spent years promoting Australian-style immigration system now furious at Australian-style immigration system”
But not everyone was happy with Murray, turned the political pundit piping in on the case.
Raheem Kassam – a former UKIP aide to Farage hit back on the social networking website writing: “Please record the awkward moment when you’re on Twitter instead of at the Grand Slams because you’ve become total shit and don’t even understand temporary visas vs immigration policy.”

And another told Mr Murray to “stick to Tennis.”
