The Case of Charlie Gard has angered much of the country, it is a fine example of the state controlling the lives of its citizens.
Charlies parents Chris Gard and Connie Yates wish to take their son to The Vatican’s Bambino Gesu Hospital for his final days in Rome, Italy.
The Pope has expressed his concern with the decision and so has U.S. President Donald Trump tweeting that the U.S. will do all it can to help the sick youngster.
A Vatican spokesperson said they are trying to solve the legal problem.
The courts have failed the parents and have sided with Doctors who say that moving the youngster could cause him pain, which is only a theory – other Doctors have said he can be moved.
His life support was due to be switched off on Friday but Great Ormond Street Hospital has given his parents more time, contradicting their claim that Charlie will be in pain if he is kept alive or moved.
This is a case of Lords and Judges making decisions on behalf of the people, it is not their jurisdiction to interfere in the decisions of the British people, it is a threat to individual liberty.
Where is the line drawn between what the people wish for their own flesh and blood and what the state and courts wish?
No.10 refuses to help in the case and will not get involved – just another state of the top office not representing the people.
It comes to something when Pope and Donald Trump is more in touch with the British populace than the Government.
