BAD TAKE: Ex Cameron Aide Sorry for Boris Coronavirus Jibe

A LEFTIE Media hack caused controversy over the Bank Holiday Weekend after casting doubt on Boris Johnson’s COVID-19 battle.

Chris Lockwood – a journalist for highbrow money mag The Economist hit twitter and said: “This is not someone who was at death’s door a few days ago.”

“Something incredibly fishy about the whole business.” added Lockwood.

The journo – who was part of former Prime Minister David Cameron’s Number 10 policy unit back in 2013.

He was described as “one of the brightest and most insightful people in journalism” by The Spectator at the time.

Lockwood – who was close to Mr Cameron being one of the six journalists that the Prime Minister listed as a personal friend in his evidence to Leveson.”

He also holidayed wit Cameron in 1993, The Spectator reported.

After huge backlash online, the hack issued an apology.

He said: “I have deleted a tweet that cast doubt on whether Boris Johnson had been as seriously ill as reported. I withdraw my comment and apologise for the offence it has caused.”
