DARREN Grimes has denied reports that he was sacked from GB News, but refused to comment on claims that he had an alleged relationship with a colleague and abused his position of power, Politicalite can exclusively reveal.
Grimes, 29 hit back at reports he had been fired telling Politicalite tonight: “I haven’t been sacked from GB News.”

However, when questioned by Politicalite, the GB News star refused to comment on claims he had been rapped over a relationship with a GB News staffer in which he allegedly abused his position of power.
“You’ll see me on air this weekend, and I cannot wait to be back.” the Real Britain presenter added.

When pressed again, he said: “That’s my comment.”
A source familiar with the case told Politicalite earlier today: “He was sacked over an alleged relationship with a junior staffer who worked on his team.”
He was also accused of abusing his position of power at the broadcaster.
Our GB News insider claimed: “He abused his authority to demand the relationship with the junior staffer.”
“The lad was threatened with losing his job if he did not comply” added the source.

Another GB News insider told Politicalite earlier today: “Looks like he’s gone, but I’ve not heard anything official.”
The host of “Real Britain” on the right-leaning channel was not on air over the weekend and was replaced by Calvin Robinson, an ordained right-wing Anglican priest.
The move led to fans wondering what had happened, with many on social media wondering why he had removed all his tweets and changed his display picture to black image and put a password on his website.
James Heale, the Diary Editor for The Spectator revealed in early September that Grimes was “understood” to be leaving the channel, that launched in 2021 to massive media hype.

The sacking also came after a recent social media storm in which Grimes attacked King Charles in which he said his majesty was “less Crown Prince” more “Clown Prince”.

Another GB News insider told Politicalite earlier today: “Looks like he’s gone, but I’ve not heard anything official.”
Grimes has since updated his Twitter account after deleting all of his tweets with a message about abuse and homophobia following speculation on the social media site after his Twitter blackout and became one of the top trends in the UK on Monday.
