MIRROR TAKEOVER: Mirror group who own more than 100 newspapers set to buy Daily Star and Daily Express

TRINITY MIRROR who own The Daily Mirror is expected to buy The Daily Star and The Daily Express from their current owner Richard Desmond in a £127m deal.

Trinity Mirror and Northern & Shell who own the Star and the Express a rumoured to confirm the deal on Friday.

The takeover of Richard Desmond’s newspaper company by Trinity Mirror will mean the Mirror group will own some of the UK’s best-selling tabloids, including the Daily Star and Sunday Express, as well as the celebrity mag OK!

The list of titles owned by the Trinity Mirror includes The Daily Mirror, Manchester Evening News, The People and most of the regional newspapers in the UK.
