BRITAIN has banned a Chinese state-run news network from UK airwaves amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
British media regulator Ofcom revoked the broadcasting licence of the state-owned China Global Television Network (CGTN) in the UK on Thursday.

The offices of CGTN located in London after the British media watchdog announced the decision revealed the lights still on.
All the media broadcasters operating in the UK must have a licence attributed by the Ofcom on conditions of impartiality and protection of privacy.
CGTN has a right to appeal and apply for the licence later.
